What we keep, and who can see it.
Written plainly, because the container only works if you know exactly what is held in it.
What this app is
Unravel is a small, invitation-only community practice. This app is its member space: your Human Design chart, the daily field, the calendar of gatherings, and a private place for what you write after a session. It is run by Sri Kala Kerel Chandra ("Kerel"). Nobody can create an account here — you are in because Kerel invited you.
What we hold about you
- Who you are: your email address, your name, and your pronouns if you give them.
- Your birth moment: the date, time and place of your birth, and the coordinates and timezone of that place. If you don't know your birth time, we record that too, and hold your chart lightly.
- Your chart: the Human Design chart we calculate from that moment — type, profile, authority, and the gates and lines. It is calculated inside this app, on our own engine. Your birth details are never sent to a chart service or any third party to be computed.
- What you write: your "What I know about myself" note, and your After Care entries — the private diary between you and the people who hold the room.
- Your membership: whether it is open, paused or held for you, and a record of payments (amount, date). Card details never touch this app — they go straight to Stripe, and we see only that a payment happened.
- Attendance: which gatherings you were at, recorded by the team afterwards.
- If something breaks: a short technical note (what failed, which page, what browser) so it can be fixed. No keystrokes, no content.
Who can see what
- You see your own chart, your own notes, your own membership and your own attendance.
- Kerel and the core team — the people who hold the gatherings — can see members' charts, notes and After Care entries, because that is what the work asks of them. They cannot see your payment card, which we never have.
- Other members cannot see your chart, your notes, your After Care, your membership or your attendance. This is enforced in the database itself, not just on the screen.
- No one else. We do not sell, rent, share or trade anything about you, and there is no advertising or tracking of any kind in this app.
Signing in with Google
If you sign in with Google, we ask Google only for your email address and basic profile (your name), to match you to your invitation. We do not read your Gmail, your contacts, your calendar or anything else, and we ask for no permission that would let us.
Who helps us run it
A few services hold or move data on our behalf, under their own agreements with us, and only for the purpose named:
- Supabase — the database and sign-in system, hosted in the western United States.
- Cloudflare — serves the app to your browser.
- Stripe — takes payments. Your card is with Stripe, not with us.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with it.
- An email service, for the few emails the app sends: your invitation, a note when a payment doesn't go through, a reminder before a charge.
How long, and how to have it removed
We keep your information while you are a member, and while your membership is paused, so that nothing you wrote is lost if you step away and come back. If you want it gone, tell Kerel and it will be deleted — your chart, your notes, your After Care entries, all of it. Payment records are kept as long as accounting requires and no longer.
Backups of the database are taken nightly and are encrypted; a backup can only be read with a key that is not stored alongside it.
Cookies and storage
The app keeps your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. That is all. There are no tracking cookies and no analytics.
Changes
If what we hold or who can see it ever changes, this page changes first, and you will be told inside the app.
Questions
Ask Kerel directly — sri@srikala.com. This is a small room; you will get a person.
